A Nelwyn family man (think Hobbit-like person) and failed magician, Willow, stumbles upon a baby in a river. Not realizing she is the prophesied child who will bring the downfall to the evil Queen of Nockmaar, Willow takes her in before being nominated to take her to the land of the Daikinis (regular folks) and give her over to the first Daikini he meets, which just so happens to be a cocksure Val Kilmer hanging in a cage waiting to die. Reluctantly, our pint-sized peck hands over the child and frees Kilmer’s Madmartigan. Then thngs take a turn for the crazy and Willow and Madmartigan find themselves caught up in a world of three-headed dragons, skull-faced killers, body morphing magic and even tinier sized heroes.

Willow is a whirlwind of totally 80s wildness peppered with George Lucas touches under the steady direction of Ron Howard. Filled to the gills with action, adventure and cutting edge visual effects, Willow is a non-stop thrill ride for the ages for ALL ages. Long before putting tiny people in movies was cool, Willow stood alone and declared himself THE GREATEST SORCERER TO HAVE EVER LIVED. There’s real magic, stage magic and movie magic and this movie has all three! (Greg MacLennan)

“Magic is the bloodstream of the universe. Forget all you know, or think you know. All that you require is your intuition.”

Time Bandits: 7/10 IMDb, 91% Rotten Tomatoes, 79% Metacritic.
Young history buff Kevin (Craig Warnock) can scarcely believe it when six dwarfs emerge from his closet one night. Former employees of the Supreme Being (Ralph Richardson), they've purloined a map charting all of the holes in the fabric of time and are using it to steal treasures from different historical eras. Taking Kevin with them, they variously drop in on Napoleon (Ian Holm), Robin Hood (John Cleese) and King Agamemnon (Sean Connery) before the Supreme Being catches up with them.
